Tom is a highly experienced healthcare executive with a career spanning more than two decades in the U.S. healthcare market. His expertise lies in the strategic leadership of health plan operations and the development of systems that enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery.

During his tenure at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Tom was instrumental in creating the Encounter Data Processing System (EDPS), a critical infrastructure that supports the payment processes for Medicare Advantage plans across the country. His work at CMS has had a lasting impact on how healthcare services are managed and delivered to millions of Americans.

Thomas has also excelled in the private sector, where he has held senior executive roles in various U.S. health plans. His focus has consistently been on improving operational efficiency, navigating complex regulatory environments, and driving strategic growth. He has successfully led teams through significant expansions and operational improvements, notably enhancing performance metrics and compliance standards.

An entrepreneur at heart, Thomas has owned and operated several businesses and sat on a number of boards in the US. Since returning to Ireland, he has continued his entrepreneurial journey by investing in innovative startups within the healthcare and education sectors.
