Prof Prasanna Sooriakumaran

Professor Prasanna Sooriakumaran is a Full Professor of Urology at the world-leading Cleveland Clinic. The Cleveland Clinic is the Second Best Hospital in the World and the Second Best Hospital in the USA for Urology. Prof PS leads the Urology service at Cleveland Clinic London and has replicated that world-class care in the London unit.

He is an internationally reputed Consultant Urological & Robotic Surgeon specialising in Prostate Cancer, and is widely accepted to be one of the UK's foremost authorities on prostate cancer care. His clinical and research work has changed the practice of prostate cancer care, especially robotic surgery, and saw him listed as one of London's Most Influential People in Healthcare in 2018 and at the top of the List in 2019, making him London's Most Influential Doctor.

Prof PS is the only urologist to win the Vice-Chancellor's Alumni Award for his services to prostate cancer care. He has also won dozens of other prizes and awards from learned international societies such as the American Urologic Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Association of Urology, British Association of Urological Surgeons, Royal Society of Medicine, and many more.

Prof PS' status as a world-leading prostate cancer academic surgeon is also evidenced by his conferment of the titles of Visiting Professor of Urology at the University of Oxford, Visiting Professor of Urology and Robotic Surgery at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur, Member of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford, and Member of the University of Oxford's sovereign body, the Congregation. Prof PS was also conferred with the degree of Master of Arts from the University of Oxford as recognition of his academic standing and seniority at this world-leading university.
