Dr. Nupur Yogarajah is an experienced healthcare consultant and General Practitioner. Specializing in behaviour change and health inequalities, she combines her medical expertise with a deep understanding of the psychological and social factors that influence healthcare outcomes.
Dr. Yogarajah holds a Master’s degree in Behaviour Change from the University of Derby, where she graduated with distinction, alongside a medical degree from University College London. Her extensive qualifications also include memberships with the Royal College of General Practitioners and diplomas from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
In her current roles as an Independent Healthcare & Behaviour Change Consultant and Clinical Lead for Health Inequalities & Personalised Care for the NHS South-East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB), Dr. Yogarajah works on projects aimed at addressing health disparities, particularly among racially minoritised communities. She has led initiatives that integrate data, behavioural science, and community engagement to improve patient care and outcomes.
Dr. Yogarajah has a proven track record of leadership in the development of quality improvement programs, having served as Clinical Lead for Clinical Effectiveness in South-East London, where she successfully scaled a quality improvement program across six boroughs. Her work in medicines management and out-of-hospital care has been instrumental in optimizing patient safety and care pathways, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her passion for health equity, combined with her expertise in behaviour change, has seen her collaborate with organizations like Mabadiliko CIC, where she worked on culturally competent health checks, and Booking.com, delivering workshops on positive habit formation for employee wellbeing.
Dr. Yogarajah’s approach is both data-driven and patient-centered, using evidence-based behavioural science to create meaningful, lasting change in healthcare. She is also a Trustee of MumsAid, a charity supporting perinatal mental health, and remains deeply committed to supporting women and underserved populations through her work.
